We kick off the New Church Year with a Festival of Lessons & Carols. We'll tell the story of anticipation, both of Christ's First Advent as a baby in Bethlehem, and His Second Advent when He comes to be our Judge, pray, and celebrate the Holy Eucharist. Come and sing in the new year with us!
We celebrate the season with cookie decorating, festive music, and hot beverages together! All ages are welcome. Please do register with Natalie at family@goodshepanglican.org by November 29 to ensure that there are enough gingerbread people to go around!
One of our most beloved Advent traditions is the Reverse Advent Calendar. Rather than taking a treat out, each day you will add an item from the food donation list to your bag, and on the 3rd Sunday of Advent (December 17) bring your donations to the church. We will make sure that The Edmonton Foodbank receives all of your wonderful donations in time for Christmas!
Come and hear again the story of the birth of Our Saviour, told by the children of the parish! This *NO REHEARSALS* Christmas Pageant features characters from the Nativity on a first-come, first-served basis, so if your child has their heart set on playing a particular role, please do arrive early to make sure there is a costume available.
Following the service, we'll be celebrating our monthly Luncheon Sunday! You are invited to bring a potluck item to share. The ACW will provide a birthday cake to celebrate all December birthdays.
Return your Reverse Advent Calendar to the church as we continue to in every heart prepare Him room! And join us in the afternoon for a concert of seasonal music, provided by Voces Alegre.
When we have suffered the loss of a loved one, it can be hard to find the joy of Christmas. You are warmly invited to join us for a quiet service that recognizes and honours your grief, while reminding us that Jesus is coming to wipe every tear from our eyes.
Our neighbours at Lions Village have once again invited us to an evening of carol singing! Join Talesa and the Music Team as we sing together (no special talent required, only enthusiasm!) with our neighbours and share the joy of Christmas.
It's not Christmas until sunset! Join us for a short and simple morning worship as we, like Mary, say yes to God and open our hearts to the coming of Jesus very soon.
