Kids' Table

Join Natalie and the Kids' Table volunteers in the Narthex for Bible stories, coloring, crafts and more. 

Kids' Table starts with some free time as folks arrive for the Sunday service. We try our best to have an opening prayer and all ages chat about the appointed lectionary readings for the day before splitting into upper and lower elementary groups.

Lower elementary, age 4-7, lessons focus on learning through play and using children's books and music to introduce kids to God and the Bible. 

Upper elementary, age 8-13, lessons begin with reading right from the Bible before exploring questions and ideas that come up in the reading. 

Both groups often have a craft or activity to incorporate the days learnings. 

Finally after a closing prayer and quick clean up, children are invited to "find their grown ups for communion" to join the congregation for the remainder of the service.
