Born in Ottawa, Ontario, and raised in St. John's Newfoundland, Stacey has been an Anglican and dancing with God for as long as she can remember. After completing high school, she left home to study for three years at the National Ballet School in Toronto, Ontario. Upon graduating with her teaching diploma, she returned and taught in the studios where she once trained as a young girl. In 1989 she moved to Edmonton to marry her husband David, and together they raised three wonderful sons, and owned a dance academy in the city's west end. They closed the school in 2006 to spend more time with their family and to support and cheer on the boy's academic and athletic pursuits. In 2010 she joined NAIT's School of Continuing Education as a Program Administrator for the English as a Second Language Department. Encouraged by her parish, St. Matthias, and by the committee convened for her discernment, Stacey retired in June of 2024 and became a full-time student in the Master of Theological Studies Program at Huron University College in London, Ontario. As she continues to dance with God in her new role as a Deacon, Stacey feels both blessed and excited to join in and partner with the faithful and welcoming community of Good Shepherd!
