What We Believe
Good Shepherd is an Anglican church, part of the Anglican Church of Canada and in communion with Anglican and Episcopal churches throughout the world.
  • We believe in a loving God, who created the universe, the solar system, this planet and all creatures upon it, and created human beings in God’s image

  • We believe God loves us so much that God came to find us when we were lost, and reconciled us to God and one another through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ

  • We believe God sends us out to share the good news of that love in acts of kindness that serve our neighbours of every kind: men and women, gay and straight, young and old, Indigenous and non-Indigenous, newcomer and long-settled, rich and poor, persons with disabilities and persons without disabilities, Christians and non-Christians

  • We believe that science can teach us much about the world, which we are called by God to tenderly care for

  •  We believe that God intends for us to be connected to one another, to take care of one another, to love one another as God loved us

  • We confess our faith in the words of the ancient creeds of the Church, which can be found here

  • We follow the strategic path set out by the Anglican Diocese of Edmonton, which can be found here
