Christ Church Cemetery was established in 1894 but fell into disuse when the parish church was closed in 1926. It has been restored by volunteers from the Church of the Good Shepherd on behalf of the Anglican Diocese of Edmonton. The cemetery has two sections: a Pioneer (or Historical) Churchyard that was researched and graves from the early 1900s have been located and identified. A new section has been opened to new grave sales after being authorized by Alberta Consumer Affairs in 2009.
The cemetery currently offers affordable full casket plots, cremation plots as well as “Green Burial” plots. For questions about Green Burials at our Cemetery, please see our FAQs.
